We are planning a cross-country trip to the Puget Sound area and have been packing and readying the house and trailer. It is always easier to unload when you get home than getting everything packed. It’s a good thing Regis brought the trailer to the house early for the process. He had some tweaks he wanted to do to the trailer and found several things that need to be fixed. The worst was the shelf under the kitchen sink collapsed onto the duct below. It was never installed properly. He, of course, fixed it.
I scheduled an entire day to get my laptop ready to be my go to place for everything. I assumed many things would go wrong and I would spend most of the day getting things ready. I was shocked that everything worked smoothly and I was done in no time. That gave me time to finish a felting project before we left. One of my friends asked me if I would felt a bear. I picked one of my favorite photos as a reference. I took the photo in Alaska in 2019 and it won 3rd place in the Saint Augustine Camera Club Eight Annual Member ShowShow.
I was working with camera settings for taking slow motion video and I used my native plant garden as a source for some footage. Attached is a short video of some of the visitors to the garden.
On another note, I submitted the image of a humpback whale tail from my recent trip to Alaska to HappyWhale and they identified the whale as Picasso. The whale was first identified in 1998 which makes it at least 28 years old. It has been document 32 times in Hawaii and Alaska. I have it on my bucket list to visit Picasso in Hawaii.
Hi Linda, I sure do hope you visit Picasso in Hawaii-lovely capture of eastern amber wing. Will you trailer out and trailer back home? Alyson and I are driving to Cleveland-no trailer. We’re visiting Savannah for two nights..omg-hotel rooms in town are $300+/night! Then to Charlotte for a night and on to Cleveland. Alyson will fly home and I will stay to take care of Gus, Duke, Binx(better known as Spooky) while my grandson and his family are at wedding in Montana. Then I’ll drive home-think I’ll visit Prince Edward Island before heading south. I know you’ll have a grand time crossing the country. Looking forward to hearing of your adventure. Melodee
